Essem Works Private Limited manufactures stainless steel hose — braided corrugated hose assemblies and interlock hose — together with the bellows expansion joints that go with it, from a works at Moraiya, on the Sarkhej–Bavla road outside Ahmedabad. The company was founded in 2023. The family behind it has been building businesses since 2000.

The Essem Group was started in 2000 by the late Shri Shanabhai Motibhai Patel and his family. He was not a hose man. He was a builder of businesses, and what he left behind is a family that has now been doing that for a quarter of a century across industries with very little in common with one another.
Essem Entertainment Pvt Ltd owns and runs Wide Angle Multiplex on SG Highway in Ahmedabad — nine screens, around 2,500 seats — and leases the retail and food-court space around it to McDonald’s, Burger King, Subway, Domino’s Pizza and Hocco Eatery. We are the landlord to those brands rather than the operator, which is a distinction worth making plainly.
Essem Green Power develops renewable energy — solar and wind. Essem Capital provides seed and incubation funding to early-stage companies. Neither has anything to do with what you came here for, so we will leave them at a line each; this is a hose company’s website and it should read like one.
Essem Works is the newest of them, set up in 2023 to make flexible metal hose and bellows properly.
Why a hose company, and why now
Because we kept seeing the same complaint. Indian industry buys an enormous quantity of flexible metal hose, and a great deal of it is bought from a catalogue on three pieces of information when it needed seven — a size, a pressure and a delivery date. Nobody asked what temperature the metal actually reaches at the fitting, whether the line moves, what the chloride content of the water is, or whether the pressure printed on the datasheet survives contact with the operating temperature. So assemblies fail early, and the failure gets blamed on the hose rather than on the specification that was never taken.
We could not fix that by being cheaper. We decided to fix it by being open, which is why every table, factor, drawing and calculator our own engineers use is published on this site with nothing gated behind a form. The printed catalogue is the single exception — we ask for a name before it opens — and everything inside it is on these pages anyway, ungated.
Being new, and what it is worth
We are not going to claim decades of hose manufacturing we do not have. Essem Works is three years old, and the group behind it is twenty-six.
What that combination buys is straightforward. The works was funded properly rather than bootstrapped. There is no legacy catalogue to defend and no back-inventory anybody needs to move this quarter, so every assembly that leaves Moraiya was worked out for one specific line, because we have never had a reason to work any other way. And it means we can afford to say no — there are duties on this site where we state plainly that a client specification needs a certification we do not hold or a construction we do not build, and that we would rather lose the enquiry than supply on an assumption. A company with a quarterly number to hit finds that harder to say. We do not.
What we do
We take stainless strip and tube and turn them into components that go into live lines: a hose that has to hold 40 bar of solvent while a pump vibrates underneath it, an expansion joint that has to absorb 60 mm of thermal growth on a steam header without loading the turbine nozzle, an interlock conduit that has to survive 700 °C of furnace exhaust. The products are not complicated. Getting them right for a specific duty is where the work is.

We specify before we quote
An enquiry that arrives as "2 inch SS hose, 5 metres" gets a question back rather than a price. The seven inputs on our selection guide exist because each one changes the assembly, and an assembly built from three of them is a guess. That is slower at enquiry and considerably faster over the life of the installation.
We publish what we know
Every technical page on this site is open. No forms, no gates, no registration. Derating factors, velocity limits, movement rules, failure signatures, and the number of every certificate we hold. An engineer who can specify correctly without talking to us is an engineer who will come back.
We build to drawing
Custom fabrication is normal work here rather than a reluctant exception. Send a drawing and we will quote it; send a problem and we will draw something for it.
