This page covers two separate things: the terms on which this website is published, and the terms on which we sell. They are not the same, and the second one matters much more.
Using this website
Everything technical on this site — the tables, the drawings, the formulas, the calculators, the failure signatures — is published as engineering reference. You are welcome to use it, print it, and work from it. We would rather you did.
It is reference, not a design service. These pages do not replace the judgement of the competent person responsible for your installation, and we cannot know the things that decide whether an assembly is right: what else is on the line, how it is supported, what happens when a valve slams, who walks past it. Ratings on this site apply to assemblies manufactured and supplied by Essem Works, built to a specification we have seen and agreed. Where the duty is hazardous or the consequence of a failure is high, send us the conditions and let us work it through with you.
If you specify from this site and something does not add up, tell us. We would far rather hear about it than have you build around it.
Accuracy, and what we do about mistakes
We check what we publish and we correct it when we find an error, but we do not warrant that every figure on a website of this size is free of them. Where a published figure and an order-specific drawing or test certificate disagree, the drawing and the certificate govern. If you believe something here is wrong, write to info@essemworks.com — we will check it, and if it is wrong we will change it and say so.
Failure analysis we do for free
We offer to look at failed assemblies, including ones we did not make, and tell you what we think happened. That offer stands. What we give you is an engineering opinion for your own use in putting the problem right. It is not an expert report, it is not prepared for litigation or an insurance claim, and it should not be presented as either without speaking to us first.
Terms of sale
Goods are sold on our standard conditions of sale, which are issued with every quotation and form part of the contract. They cover price, delivery, payment, inspection, acceptance, warranty and the limits of our liability. Nothing on this website varies them, and no statement here should be read as a warranty, a delivery promise or a guarantee of fitness for a particular purpose. If you want to see the conditions before you enquire, ask us and we will send them.
Intellectual property
The drawings, charts, tables and text on this site are ours. Use them in your own specifications, tender documents and calculations as much as you like — that is what they are for. Please do not republish them as your own or use them in a competitor's marketing.

Where we link to a standards body or another organisation we are pointing at a source, not endorsing it, and we have no control over what is on the other end.
Law
These terms and any dispute arising from this website are governed by the law of India, and the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat have jurisdiction.
