Quality & Certification

Three TÜV Rheinland certificates, their numbers, the tests we run and the documents you receive.

Quality claims are only worth what a reviewer can verify. Everything on this page is stated the way it appears on the certificate, including the certificate numbers.

Certification

StandardCertificate numberIssued by
ISO 9001:2015 — Quality management01 100 2437759TÜV Rheinland
ISO 14001:2015 — Environmental management01 104 2537285TÜV Rheinland
ISO 45001:2018 — Occupational health & safety01 213 2537285TÜV Rheinland
Each certificate carries its own scope statement, printed on the certificate itself. Copies are sent with any pre-qualification pack; ask at enquiry and they come with the quotation.

What we test, on every pressure assembly

TestCriterion
Hydrostatic pressure test1.5 × working pressure; no leakage, no permanent deformation
Visual and dimensional inspectionAgainst the approved assembly drawing
Weld visual inspectionFull circumference, both ends
Material traceabilityEvery pressure-retaining component traced to its mill test certificate

Additional testing is available on request. Pneumatic, burst, fatigue cycle and positive material identification are done in our own works; helium leak detection, radiography, ultrasonic and dye penetrant are placed with a qualified subcontractor and certified back to you. See testing and inspection for the full list and the documentation that accompanies each.

Design basis

Corrugated hose and assembliesISO 10380; BS 6501 Part 1 where called for
Interlock (strip-wound) hoseISO 15465
Bellows expansion jointsEN 14917:2021 and EJMA 11th Edition

Where a project runs to EN 13445, EN 13480, ASME B31.1 or B31.3, tell us at enquiry. See standards we build to.

Pressure basis

  • Burst pressure is at least four times working pressure.
  • Test pressure is 1.5 times working pressure, and every pressure-retaining assembly is tested before despatch.
  • Catalogue pressures are at 20 °C and must be derated for service temperature — see temperature derating.

Third-party inspection

We work routinely with third-party inspection agencies and welcome witnessed testing. Nominate the agency and the hold points at enquiry so inspection is planned into the production sequence. Our ISO certification is held with TÜV Rheinland; witnessed inspection by another agency is arranged to your nomination.

Documentation

Test certificates with every pressure assembly. EN 10204 3.1 material certification on request, 3.2 where an independent inspector validates. Dimensional reports, welder and procedure qualification records, and manufacturing data books compiled to a project index — all available, all much easier if specified at enquiry rather than requested after despatch.

Tell us about the job. We will work out what it needs.

Send the medium, pressure, temperature, movement and end connections — or just describe the problem. You get back a specified assembly and a drawing, and a price once the specification is settled.
